Cansu is an Associate in our Antitrust, Competition and Trade team, based in Munich and Berlin.
Cansu advises clients on all aspects of European and German competition law. Her practice includes supporting clients in multi-jurisdictional merger and foreign investment filings as well as complex investigations, such as responding to RFIs from the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office, often working closely with international in-house counsel and colleagues across Freshfields offices. Her work extends to contentious matters, with experience in litigation before the EU General Court and the European Court of Justice.
Cansu has developed particular expertise in the EU’s fast-evolving digital regulatory landscape, with a focus on the Digital Markets Act, Digital Services Act, Data Act, and AI Act. She regularly works with tech clients on product-related antitrust issues and strategic compliance matters.
Cansu speaks English, German, and Turkish fluently, and has some proficiency in Serbo-Croatian and French.
